Cash for Care with Affordable Care Act Reform

Part B News made several 2017 predictions that were accurate, one of which was the affects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) reform and how it has impacted how patients pay for their care. The Part B News’ 2018 Predictions Survey suggests it was right to suspect more cash payments. Ron Harman King, CEO Vanguard Communications, offered insight into the emerging payment methodologies.

When Your Doctor’s Bedside Manner Is Vital

A 2013 Vanguard Communications survey, as featured in Consumer Reports, found that online complaints about bedside manner issues, such as doctors being dismissive of concerns, late for appointments, hurried or not listening well, were almost four times more common than criticisms about medical abilities.
