About Ron Harman King, MS
Since founding Vanguard Communications in 1994, Ron Harman King has combined the disciplines of online and offline public relations, strategic marketing and information technology into the comprehensive MedMarketLink program, bringing new patients to physician specialists in fertility, neurosurgery, urology, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, female pelvic medicine, gynecology-oncology and plastic surgery throughout the U.S. and Canada.
A 25-year veteran of medical marketing, PR and communications technology, Ron is the author of The Totally Wired Doctor: Social media, the Internet & marketing technology for medical practices (available at Amazon.com). He is a frequent speaker at medical conferences in North America and Europe, and a television commentator, and also is a video blogger for the website for physicians, MedPage Today.
Ron has degrees from three universities in journalism, engineering and information technology, as well as a certificate in French studies from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Outside work hours, he is an avid skier, hiker and cyclist; a student of four foreign languages; and enjoys playing classical piano.
About Stephanie Wilson
Stephanie Wilson manages digital media efforts at Vanguard Communications, including new product and website front-end development, graphic design for print and other media production, and client and project coordination.
Before joining Vanguard, Stephanie was a writer and editor for Go World Travel, where she also managed one of their online travel magazine websites, goColorado.com. A journalism and digital media graduate, Stephanie blends engaging content with effective online marketing for websites, social media and other internet publishing. She enjoys helping clients establish their brands and is invested in building a successful marketing strategy for each practice.
About Richard Wall
Few communications professionals possess the breadth of experience in as many print and electronic media as Richard. Richard has handled everything from TV production for HGTV (Home & Garden TV), public relations for a metropolitan museum of art, production of four television documentaries, general assignment reporting for a weekly newspaper in Tennessee, editing for a magazine’s business publications and creating a self-guided audio tour, which was carried by the St. Augustine Historical Society.
Richard describes himself as a hopelessly stubborn novelist, currently at work on his third tome. However, he spends the better part of his waking hours overseeing the writing staff and its production of online and offline content.
Neil Baum, MD
About Neil Baum, MD
Neil H. Baum, MD, is a Professor of Clinical Urology at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Baum is the author of Marketing Your Clinical Practice-Ethically, Effectively, and Economically, which is in its 4th edition, and The Complete Business Guide to a Successful Medical Practice, which was published in 2015.
Dr. Baum was the columnist for American Medical News for more than 25 years and wrote the popular column, The Bottom Line, for Urology Times for more than 20 years.
He is a requested speaker each year to the Practice Management seminar for the AUA where he discusses techniques to make a urology practice more efficient and more productive. He has written 8 books on practice management and over 250 peer reviewed articles on various urologic topics, including BPH, ED and incontinence. Those practices who have consulted with Dr. Baum have reported that he delivers on his commitment to enhancing medical practices using ethical and effective techniques that have been tested in numerous practice locations across the country.
Dr. Baum has consulted with physicians, medical practices, pharmaceutical companies and medical manufacturing companies throughout the nation. His focus is on improving efficiency and productivity and using social medial to attract patients to a medical practice. During his time as a clinician, Dr. Baum conducted numerous clinical trials on BPH and ED, including drug studies.
After retiring from clinical practice in January 2018, Dr. Baum joined Vanguard Communications in their efforts to grown the patient bases of medical and academic practices and help them to be more efficient and ultimately, more profitable.
About Amy Lueb
Amy Lueb is a principal consultant for the Vanguard MedAmorphosis program. She has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Colorado. She gathers her 10+ years of continuous improvement knowledge and methodologies from the worlds of both manufacturing and healthcare, giving her a unique perspective and approach to the continuous improvement process.
Prior to being apart of MedAmorphosis, Amy work for Denver Health, specifically with the Behavioral Health & Women’s care departments, helping them to cut waste, improve their processes & increase employee & patient satisfaction. Prior to entering the healthcare world Amy was a Quality & Manufacturing Engineer for several commercial & industrial manufactures in the Denver Metro area.
In her free time Amy loves hanging out with her rescue dog Annie, reading & yoga. Also in the fall months you will find her judging competitive high school marching band around the country. Amy was a member of the Blue Knight Drum and Bugle corps in her youth and keeps that passion burning by engaging in the activity through consulting & judging.
