Healthcare providers cannot divulge protected patient health information (PHI) on public channels, such as Facebook, but they should engage reviewers to call the office and discuss any issues offline. A practice should never admit wrongdoing, especially on social media sites, Wilson added. It’s actually advised, however, to engage with benign comments such as, “We’re sorry you feel this way.”
