Ron Harman King, MS, Chief Executive Officer
Since founding Vanguard Communications in 1994, Ron Harman King has combined the disciplines of online and offline public relations, strategic marketing and information technology into the comprehensive MedMarketLink program, bringing new patients to physician specialists in fertility, neurosurgery, urology, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, female pelvic medicine, gynecology-oncology and plastic surgery throughout the U.S. and Canada.
A 25-year veteran of medical marketing, PR and communications technology, Ron is the author of The Totally Wired Doctor: Social media, the Internet & marketing technology for medical practices (available at Amazon.com). He is a frequent speaker at medical conferences in North America and Europe, and a television commentator, and also is a video blogger for the website for physicians, MedPage Today.
Ron has degrees from three universities in journalism, engineering and information technology, as well as a certificate in French studies from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Outside work hours, he is an avid skier, hiker and cyclist; a student of four foreign languages; and enjoys playing classical piano.
Richard Wall, BA, Editor in Chief
Few communications professionals possess the breadth of experience in as many print and electronic media as Richard. Richard has handled everything from TV production for HGTV (Home & Garden TV), public relations for a metropolitan museum of art, production of four television documentaries, general assignment reporting for a weekly newspaper in Tennessee, magazine editor for business publications, and an entrepreneur whose self-guided audio tour was carried by the St. Augustine Historical Society.
Richard describes himself as a hopelessly stubborn novelist, currently at work on his third tome. However, he spends the better part of his waking hours overseeing the writing staff and its production of online and offline content.
Stephanie Wilson, BA, Client Services Director
Stephanie Wilson manages digital media efforts at Vanguard Communications, including new product and website front-end development, graphic design for print and other media production, and client and project coordination.
Before joining Vanguard, Stephanie was a writer and editor for Go World Travel, where she also managed one of their online travel magazine websites, goColorado.com. A Journalism and Digital Media graduate, Stephanie blends engaging content with effective online marketing for websites, social media and other Internet publishing. She enjoys helping clients establish their brands and is invested in building a successful marketing strategy for each practice.
Paul Kellogg, BA, Public Relations Director
Paul Kellogg manages public relations for Vanguard Communications, overseeing media relations, online and offline reputation management, medical writing and social media. Additionally, he supervises digital advertising.
As an English major and Legal Studies minor at the University of Denver, Paul thought he was headed into law before he took on his first position as interim managing editor of the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Paul would go on to earn his flack stars writing for the Colorado State Senate and later working in brand communications at Colorado advertising firm Vladimir Jones. There he represented clients in hospitality, energy, healthcare and nonprofits.
Glenda Chipps, Operations Manager
Glenda Chipps manages internal operations at Vanguard Communications, coordinating billing, budgets, office affairs, and other business needs to keep Vanguard running smoothly. Additionally, she is a client services project manager, assisting clients with their websites and other project deliverables.
Glenda has had an extensive career, working at the Colorado Medical Society for 16 years as an event planner and assistant to the president and board of directors, gathering in-depth knowledge of the medical field. Glenda brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing and promoting businesses from her tenure as the Executive Director of the Western-English Trade Association.
